Oslo in 2014
The 31st Congress of Genealogical and Heraldic Sciences took place in Oslo from 13th to 17th August 2014. In 2014, two major jubilees are marked: the Norwegian constitution was enacted at Eidsvoll in 1814, and in addition, Oslo celebrated its 700th anniversary as capital of Norway. Capital status was formally granted in 1314.
